GTA Realtors Release First Quarter Rental Market Report
Greater Toronto Area Realtors reported a substantial increase in the number of condominium apartments rented through the TorontoMLS system in the first quarter of 2013. There were 4,277 condominium apartments rented – up by almost 13 per cent on a year-over-year basis.

Manitoba Tax Credit to Spark 1,000 Rental Units
Manitobans will have better access to good housing with the creation of a new tax credit to support private-sector rental housing construction and new investments by the provincial government to build 1,000 new rental housing units, Housing and Community Development Minister Kerri Irvin-Ross announced recently.

Morguard Completes Acquisition of Six Multi-Unit Residential Assets 
Morguard North American Residential Real Estate Investment Trust is pleased to announce that it has completed the purchase of six multi-unit residential properties from an institutional fund sponsored by Pearlmark Real Estate Partners, L.L.C. for $218 million US (excluding closing costs). This acquisition was previously announced by the REIT on January 9, 2013.
