CAPREIT appoints new Senior Management
Two new senior managers have been appointed by the Canadian Apartment Properties Real Estate Investment Trust. Mr. Scott Cryer and Ms. Maria Amaral have been appointed to the roles of Chief Financial Officer and Chief Accounting Officer, respectively. TransGlobe Apartment REIT’s $50 million offering and acquisition
TransGlobe Apartment REIT has recently entered into agreements to sell $50 million of REIT units. On top of the offering, the Apartment REIT has also agreed to acquire a seven building complex called Samuel Holland, in Quebec City. The complex has a total purchase price of $98.6 million. First quarter rental market figures from REALTORS
The Toronto Real Estate Board (TREB) has released their rental market figures from the first quarter of 2011. Between January and April, TREB recorded 5,079 lease transactions for condominium apartments and townhomes in the GTA. This marks an overall increase of 18 per cent from the 4,319 recorded rental transactions in the first quarter of 2010. Click here to learn more about the Q1 rental market figures.
